Watching Princess and the Frog truly makes you experience the hustle and bustle of NOLA. We had a chance to make a trip out there a couple of years back.
Some of the best American cocktails were born in Nola. While we were there, we had the chance to have a Sazerac at The Sazerac bar accompanied by one of the best Ramos gin fizzes we’ve ever had.
The food is out of this world! That’s a given, and we even had a chance to go to a saints game! Who dat!???⚜️
We also got to visit Dr. Facilier’s friends on the other side via a bar-hopping ghost tour. We learned that NOLA has over 999, probably not so happy haunts.👻
However, of the many places to visit, the one location we just HAD to go to was Dooky Chase’s. This famous restaurant and its owner were the inspiration for Princess Tiana! Sadly, we learned that Leah Chase passed away last year, but it is heartwarming to know that Leah Chase will forever be remembered through her food and as the Princess of New Orleans.
P.s don’t worry! We also went to Willie Mae’s while we were there.
