It has been about three years since we last went to Disney World. During the time being, we were getting our fix at Disneyland in California and Tokyo Disney. After a rough semester, we finally decided to treat ourselves to a long-awaited return home.
On our first night back, we booked a dinner reservation to Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. To our surprise, we were greeted by an excited group of hostesses who were smiling ear to ear. This set a beautiful tone for the rest of our visit. Following behind their smiles came a string of compliments for Karen and her outfit.
Preanca, one of the lovely hostesses, sat us down and made frequent visits to our table throughout the night. We ended up learning about each other’s backstory and even love lives! Growing up in South Africa and having come from Indian descent, Preanca was able to give us tips on what she considered authentic African cuisine (all of which were delicious!). Having worked in the food industry, we understand how rough and tiring it is after a shift; however, before her night was over, Preanca made it her mission to stop by our table one last time. We got the opportunity to get in a few more laughs and took some pictures together.
After an exhausting 13-hour flight, Preanca lifted our spirits with her radiant personality. The food at Sanaa was delicious, but she was the highlight of our night!

Disney truly is a magical place. However, it is all the Cast Members, like Preanca, that create the magic and make it all possible. It was an absolute privilege to meet her, and we are confident that Disney is proud to have Preanca on their stage.
