“The question is not what you look at but what you see” - Henry David Thoreau

Thoreau was a forefather of modern-day environmentalism. He was born during the industrial era and gave birth to ideas that challenged people's view of nature.

Disney being an industry itself, pulls inspiration from philosophers such as Thoreau and puts them into practice. With their influence, Disney gives us opportunities to learn about our surroundings and stresses the importance of it, whether it be the animal kingdom, Epcot, nature documentaries, movies, etc.… the list goes on.

Imagineers are masters of seeing and not just "looking." They portray what nature was like for men like Thoreau… a magical theme park. It is Disney's mission for all of us to not just "look." There is a quote by another nature philosopher painted on a wall at one of the Disney parks. I would walk by it all the time whenever I visited that park until I read the book from which the quote came from. It made me appreciate Disney and their effort to educate us without us even knowing.

Can anyone guess what and where the quote is?
